Can you try this with the latest 1.9.4 version, or current master?

./utils/nfs-ls -D nfs:// does work here.

"Program is not available" this sounds like we connected to portmapper on your server but the portmapper responded that the mount program is not available.

Can you run "showmount -e 172.16.37.10" and see if that works?
You should also try "rpcinfo 172.16.37.10" and see what it returns.
The mount program is 100005 and has to be available on the server in order for clients to connect.

This issue appears to be resolved. I tested it against a variation of my test program; the original version no longer exists. It compiled cleanly, and it connected to the NFS server and responded with expected results. The NFS server has remained unchanged since the initial report. I also tried your suggested ./utils/nfs-lib and it worked, too.
