Yup; but, as I said, that's unlikely to be what someone wants, and is almost certainly better served by 0.x releases.

I've had https://crates.io/crates/bitmap at 1.0 almost since I released it, and the API has never had to change, only some minor internal details that can be dealt with via a bump of the Z in 1.x.y-cargoZ, presumably.

Right, but there are upcoming language features that will change the API: e.g. making the element type of Iterator be an associated type rather than a type parameter.
