This is an issue for me also with Mongoid.

This isn't really the answer to this, but I've been using the Boxer gem with Mongoid to expose models via the API. ymmv.

neiltron: I just put that into play, but it doesnt look like it does collections either. I end up getting the same error using boxer.

Dang. collection.map, it I guess? That might defeat the purpose in your case, though.

I looked at the code from issue 80, and changed the check from Array to enumerable and my code is working now.
