Ok, got it working with:

module: {
  loaders: [
    { test: require.resolve("jquery"), loader: "expose?jquery" }
  ]
}

Anyway, it would be cool if you add some example on that case :)

It worked for me.

var webpack = require('webpack');

module.exports = {
  entry: {
    app: './main.js'
  },
  output: {
    filename: 'bundle.js'
  },

    new webpack.ProvidePlugin({
      $: "jquery",
      jQuery: "jquery",

};
