I'd rather keep the name simple as this is just a Vue CLI template and I think the repo name explains what it's trying to do.

Do you think people can find your repo, if the've a haze recollection of the author? I'm thinking they'll just google for "vue browser component" and we don't know how your repo will rank with that search term in a few months time.

I think giving it a branded name would be worse, since unless you know the branded name, you would be less likely to find it. I want to keep it simple and descriptive, so maybe something along the lines of "vue-standalone-sfc" or "vue-browser-sfc" would make more sense?

I'm for that sure, it's more googlable.
Did you know that if you rename a GH repo, then incoming URLs to the old name are redirected to the new URL as you would hope? That's even true of people pushing to the old repo via git@ssh :)
