Quoting from our blog post from yesterday:
The official online tutorial is a good place to start.
We have finite resources in terms of time. At the current state Rocker may not be the way to get started with Docker per se. Once you are familiar with Docker, Rocker will make more sense.

Looks pretty good so far. I'm in the middle of a "port" of Overview to Docker (https://github.com/znmeb/overview-server) so I'm doing a lot of testing with Boot2Docker on Windows. I'll toss this into my next round of tests - I've got an 8 GB laptop.
