I'm encountering the same issue. It's worth noting that this isn't the only project using gspread
that's running into trouble. It seems there were some significant changes between version 5 and version 6 that are leading to these breakdowns. For the time being, I have also chosen to revert back to version 5.12.4 to maintain functionality.

Gspread just released 6.0.1 to correct the breakage with 6.0.0. You may wish to test with 6.0.1...
