Does the JS environment have a window.location object? If it does you should use OriginJS to manage the loading and teardown of your pages. If you want to clear your bindings you can do so with the object returned by bind.key.
//setup your binding
var binding = KeyboardJS.bind.key('a', function(){
//do cool stuff
});
//clear the binding
binding.clear();
Let me know if any of that helps.

Hi - I think it has a window.location, its webkit based - but not really tried using it (at least directly).
Thanks for the heads up on OriginJS, not seen that before. Currently using SerenadeJS for that sort of thing.
On the keybindings, as there are quite a few bindings, I currently have this kind of CS code when switching views:
KeyboardJS.unbind.key("all")
KeyboardJS.bind.key("up", @keyUpHandler)
....
Thinking it would be good if I could switch in/out a whole set of bindings - what do you think?
Thanks,
Chris

Unfortunately thats out of the scope of the project, KeyboardJS is suppose to be simple so people can build complexity on top. The right thing to do is to write your own abstraction that could manage your bindings for you.
KeyboardJS.unbind.key("all");
KeyboardJS.bind.key("up", keyUpHandler);
This is the right way to do this.

No problem, thanks for clarifying.
