Perhaps this is more a problem with the way Spacemacs has configured things, than with org-present
itself---though by the same token, perhaps org-present
's docs should be updated as I think the Spacemacs configuration is derived from them.
I'm still investigating the several issues that I've submitted. So far I've:
- Forked the project and cloned it down
- Figured out how to have to launch a REPL for Emacs Lisp
- Figured out how to eval my buffer
- Figured out how to get help on ELisp forms
- Started to get a bit of an understanding of the code
I'm stopping for now, but will hope to resume this next week if I can.

Yes, this is technically a bug in Spacemacs' packages.el
for org-mode
. I will pursue it further there. However, it does make me wonder: as far as the start
and end
hooks, wouldn't it be better to have some system where we could guarantee for things that were toggled that this logic was handled generically? In other words, if we need option x
set to value 1
for org-present
, it would be nice if we didn't rely on the consumer's config to do the "is x
already 1
? Then don't set it, and don't set it on end
".

Fixed this in a PR to Spacemacs.
