I guess it would be perfect if the syntax would be compatible to Slack webhooks, since there's so much compatible tooling for this.

The current implementation (#210) doesn't have any slack compatibility, I have never used slack but you are welcome to make an additional PR afterwards which adds support.

I don't have any Rust knowledge whatsoever though.
Slack webhook compatibility is just an advice, since it might be relevant for popularity.
That's why Mattermost, Matrix, XMPP, RocketChat and others have solutions for gaining webhook compatibility as specified in the Slack API.
