Kurl script fails on machine with kubectl pre-installed about kurl

We have an internal provisional script that installs kubectl as part of it too. I guess this clashes with your use case.

Our script incorporates kurl to spin up k8s and does some tweaks afterward, such as adjusting kernel limits, pod limits, etc...

It looks like this:

# install necessary binaries (including kubectl)
...

# run kurl installer
curl https://kurl.sh/662cd72 | sudo bash

# tweaks
...

We're removing the kubectl binary install in our script for now. This isn't favoured cause we reuse that block for other install scripts that work with cloud-based k8s, where you need kubectl binary to interact with eks clusters.

Could you please let me know more about of the use case where the kubectl is installed already in the machine but the host has not k8s installed?

Could you please let me know how are you using kURL?
Are you using it to upgrade an install that was not made with kURL?
