Your best bet for now is to prevent Git from asking for your username and password. Check e.g. https://help.github.com/articles/why-is-git-always-asking-for-my-password.
I'm not sure how to deal with this from this tool's perspective. Will look into it later. Perhaps @SBoudrias has any ideas? It's about this part of the code and it's related to SBoudrias/Inquirer.js#89.

Looks like usual Git interface asking for a logging. This is doesn't seem related to inquirer or this tools.

Indeed, but perhaps you've seen or heard of similar issues before (i.e. prompts initiated by other scripts than inquirer during runtime).

By the way, in my other projects I use grunt-push-release which also causes request of username and password (sometimes twice depending on configuration). And it works fine.

You should just setup your ssh keys.

Closing this for now. I think setting up ssh keys solves the issue, and is a good practice anyway.
