I liked usage-jquery.js and .fromPromise(). Two latest gists looked too complicated and lacking for example of usage. And i wouldn't include native ES6 promises to core right now - not sure that ES6 will start walking on the Earth in next couple of years.

@theghostbel I don't understand as they bridge native events to Observables. The fromEvent is obviously more complex as it has to account for non-standard events such as IE 6-8, as well as Node.js.

Was thinking about adding events to the core, but it depends on binding.js because of the publish/refCount behavior. Would rx.events.js work as a core file?

We now have async.js and async.compat.js for browsers older than IE9
