I'm also interested in the reasoning behind this. I'm interested in potentially making a PR, if I can understand the underlying issue. A common usecase for this is authenticated apps, e.g.
Switch->Stack->Drawer->Stack

Is the limit about nesting level, or about some specific parent-child combinations?

I think we’ve used a fair bit of nesting (some useful for us, some avoidable) in a project, and so far it mostly worked. ^^ In one case we had: Stack->Tabs->Stack->Tabs->Stack (refactored to Stack->Tabs->Tabs->Stack for other reasons).
