I'm really stumped about this error and have noticed other people are having a similar one, but those fixes don't seem to be giving any kind of lasting fix for me.
Here's my scenario:
- I'm using the demo code provided here
- I start up the app on the ios simulator, using iPhone SE (3rd generation) - iOS 17.0
- It works for for this first round just fine
- I then terminate my process
- I rerun my build (i.e.
npx react-native run-ios
)- I press the button again and it doesn't recognize any text I'm saying, then crashes with the error message above
If I go to Device -> Erase All Content and Settings and then rebuild the app, it works. But do I have to do that every time? That doesn't seem right and it seems like I'm missing something.
Has anyone run into this? Is the cleanup function in the example not working correctly?
This happened to me as well. Looks like this is an issue related to iOS simulator.
Just go to "Device" menu on your simulator and press "Erase all Content and Settings" will solve the problem. Whenever you rerun the app, you have to do it. It is a hassle but I don't see any other solution at the moment. You are better off doing the testing with an actual device imo.
Hope this helps...

Having same issue, can anyone verify on iOS device?
