Which version of react-native-sensors are you using?

"^2.4.2"

from react-native-sensors.

Hi, I ran into the same issue today. I solved it by using the Sensor API code on the npm page.

It seems that new Accelerometer({updateInterval: 200,}) directly returns an observable instead of a promise in version 2.4.2.

Thank you for helping @fchenchen!
I think this is a case of the README not matching with the version you installed 🤔
I forgot to release version 3.0.0 a couple of weeks ago, did that now, so if you do a fresh start / upgrade the normal README would be fine.

Would anyone of you be interested in sending in a PR to add links to the older versions of our README to the readme? I think that might help others in similar situations :)
