Tape game freezing with BMC64 v4.1 about bmc64

Does it happen with the latest version of VICE? If so, not much to be done - that means it's either a busted tape image or an upstream emulator issue.

Thanks for the reply. No issues, with Vice. Game loads fine first time around. Seems to be particular to BMC64.

If you can try with Vice 3.3 specifically, that would help determine if it's an emulator issue. BMC64 uses an older version of VICE so it may have been fixed. Otherwise, I can try later this weekend and see if I can reproduce it myself here.

I wanted to report back and share that this issue is not present with Vice 3.3
