well each provider has its own 'rules' about tile access, dunno how much they actually valid, use by default openstreet provider and probably nobody will care

I understand, I'm just curious as the older posts are somewhat dated, have you had any more issues from Google, Bing, so forth?

I mean it's by far one of the best frameworks out there. Are you aware of anyone else using it in a commercial application? I'm using Winforms. I'll say again, great work.

I choose Bing as tile provider.

  • OpenStreetMap has stated here that "OpenStreetMap data is free for everyone to use. Our tile servers are not." you could configure your own tile server.
  • Google Maps has stated here that "No access to APIs or Content except through the Service. You will not access the Maps API(s) or the Content except through the Service. For example, you must not access map tiles or imagery through interfaces or channels (including undocumented Google interfaces) other than the Maps API(s)". There is one answer on stackoverflow that seems to be uncertain.
