What do I do next
from markdown-portfolio.
I didn't see a task list in that comment. Remember, a task list starts with the syntax - [ ]
and then the task list item. The formatting is specific! Try again with a new comment. You can copy this one if you would like to see how they look:
- [ ] Turn on GitHub Pages
- [ ] Outline my portfolio
- [ ] Introduce myself to the world

Watch below your comment for my response

- [ ] IP address, cell phone #
- [ ] outline my portfolio
- [ ] location of request
from markdown-portfolio.
quiverof4, it looks like your task list has too many spaces between the [ ]
square brackets.
The formatting for a task list requires that there is exactly one space between the brackets. When you check the box, that blank space will be replaced by an x
.
Go ahead and try again!

Step 2: Turn on GitHub Pages
Nicely done @quiverof4! At least one task in your Markdown to-do list is correct. ✨
Now let's turn our focus to the content of your portfolio. Because this portfolio will be displayed as a static web page, you'll need to enable GitHub Pages.
⌨️ Activity: Enable GitHub Pages
- Under your repository name, click Settings.
- In the GitHub Pages section, use the Select source drop-down menu to select
master
as your GitHub Pages publishing source. - Click Save.
I may take up to a minute to respond as I wait for GitHub Pages to create a deployment of your repository.
For more information, see Configuring a publishing source for GitHub Pages in the GitHub Help.
