If you send me the link to your website I'd be able to check it out. there are also other homepage layouts available in "Theme Options > Layouts" under "Home Page" section which might solve this problem.

enable "Toggle question list in home" option in "Theme Options > layout". also the list you are seeing is probably a widget in "Home 2" section, remove it from "Theme Widgets" page.

i have enabled "Toggle question list in home" option in "Theme Options > layout" but nothing chaged

in "Theme Widgets" page. there is no widget in "Home 2“ section.but i have widget in "Right"section

I tested to config the widget in "Right" not to show in home,clikc "save" but i wont work.
then i add the same widget in "Home Right", config them to show in home,click "save",it wont work

then i remove all of them ,and add the same widget to "Home Right",config them to show in home,click "save".It works.

next ,i add them to "Right” and set them not to show in "home",click "save". It worked!!

I have to say that i dont know how it worked,but I guess maybe there are slightly bugs in the widget "save" function. I click the "save"button,but it dont updated.

I'm still upset about this...will it last long...

may my tests will help you find something,so i tell you my steps about my configs

It's possible that your hosting provider uses an old version of php which doesn't support json. it's one of the known reasons of problems in configuring widgets and can be solved by upgrading php to latest version.

no,my host is linode vps uses ubuntu 14.04 ,and i just upgrade it
a week ago,so the php will be updated.

so It might not be the host's problem
