huh. I thought the intent of the only-newest thing was to e.g. stop us from installing a version of typeshed-client
(when running pyanalyze
's tests) that was released after the latest commit on the main
branch of pyanalyze
. I don't think it should be stopping us from installing versions of typeshed-client
that are released after the latest commit on the main
branch of typing_extensions
(if it's working correctly)? But maybe I misunderstood.

I guess the problem is that now the pyanalyze test suite only succeeds with the latest release of typeshed-client, and our only-newest thing fails to install the latest release of typeshed-client. A possible solution is to make a commit to typing-extensions.
