I'm not sure we need to: github renders RST directly so if sphinx does not complain and the output looks good on github it will look good on read the docs.

Thanks for the report and the fix. I'd agree that we could use a release checking: I'll add that as an issue (#118). In this case, I did build everything on Read the Docs, so not sure that it would have helped catch it. We might be able to build the docs in the TravisCI tests (if Sphinx returns an error code when it raises warnings).
