Hasher.hexdigest() is documented as returning a str, but returns unicode under python2 about cryptography

I can't find a function which attempts to return a native string in both py2 and py3 in either the stdlb or six, did nobody ever think this would be a useful thing? I thought all the wsgi trouble would have produced something to this effect at last O_O
