`Multiple instances of @polkadot/types detected` when running tests about moonbeam

Yes I have been seeing this error, but it is strange to me as it shows two files imported by @PolkaDot repo.

Any idea @jacogr ?

You can see via the paths (which is why they are logged) that they are no de-duped and there are multiple packages. Run something like yarn dedupe and hope for the best.

Paths are -

• <nm>/@polkadot/api-derive/node_modules/@polkadot/types
• <nm>/@polkadot/rpc-core/node_modules/@polkadot/types

Ideally it should be a single, <nm>/@polkadot/types

@JoshOrndorff @joelamouche , it's me who added this dupe a similar dupe
It is temporary to support having modified types when adding new features by using the local path instead of the published npm package. (Needed for the stake ts tests to pass without having to publish types for moonbeam)

@joelamouche I let you find a solution to support that without having duplicated imports
