After further investigation, the issue is during tunnel construction. Furthermore, the binding receives a timeout error from the relay, so this would indicate, that Iris cannot find the requested address??

After debuggning for a while, the issue is a rare and surprising race condition within Iris core. Iris actually manages sometimes to initialize an encrypted TCP connection faster, than the originating thread to start waiting for the init to complete. (ok, scheduling thing). Will close this issue if fixed in the core.
