Great report. Arguably this is a Dokku or process manager plugin issue, though, right?

I don't know as much about the community as you do. All I know is my experience as a user. I know things aren't a 1.0, but I didn't expect that adding a plugin like forego, or shoreman would prevent me from running commands.

If I had to guess, I'd ask the question how much time do you want to spend fixing the issue?

My guess is that it would be easier to implment a fix in this project then to corral 4 maintainers, and get them to fix 4 seperate projects.

I ran into the same issue. Ended up going the cp route in my fork and doing a little bit of hacking in dokku-logging-supervisord to make the non-root user work. Definitely not proud of it but it's been working.
