...and close to 8 years later... I'm looking into this.

(Edited out all updates as expected now to be finished with only more aggressive testing left to see if anything shows up now that the final code is done.)

Edit - All testing is basically done now (although am testing more while I wait in deciding to make a pull request). Could always do more testing, and did a variety with all success with no FTPS problems seen. Will do a pull request when I can get to it or whatever.

Was also searching for an open source Android secure FTP server app and found one which is called "primitive ftpd" and which supports SFTP, see:

Hmm... there are other ftp servers supporting ssl, but this one is very nice written. Would be great to have ftps there.
