There's currently nothing built into any of the Poole themes to address tags or categories. I might have a go at that later to enable it, but these are meant to be as lightweight as possible, so I've avoided those features for the time being.
I'll keep this open to come back to soon though. Maybe there's a light enough solution.

I wouldn't mind implementing these capabilities, if you're open to a new contributor.
Here's a proposed interaction:
- User opens the side bar.
- Both Tags and Categories are new navigation items in the list, between Home and About.
- User selects either Tags or Categories and is taken to a new page.
- The new page has an alphabetized list of the tags or categories.
- User selects an item and is taken to a new page.
- The new page has a chronological list of posts under that item.
In addition:
- Posts that have tags or categories in their front matter have a "" list next to the post's date.
- User selects one of the tags or categories and is taken to the page in step 6 above.
If there's a better place to coordinate on this, let's move the discussion there :-)

@mdo I would love to see a recommended way of implementing tags and/or categories in lanyon as well.
p.s. poole and lanyon are awesome! Just started a new blog with them and am loving it ;) Thank you!
