I don't see it flash at all—should happen fast enough given how few styles are applied. Have any details on this? When did you see it, and where—the demo site? What browser?

Bear in mind if you were looking at the demo site at http://lanyon.getpoole.com, the CSS was a bit out of date. Just pushed a new version.

Here's a video - http://drop.pierre.io/lanyon.mov - sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I've got the latest code checked out of github, running it locally - in Chrome 31.0.1650.63 on Mavericks.

Hmm, not seeing any of that on the same setup. Can you reconfirm you're on the latest master? I had just pushed up a change I meant to include awhile back (it adds visibility: hidden; to the sidebar to start).

Ok, I pulled the latest code and got your new css changes - it's still behaving a bit weirdly. I'll record another video in a bit, just need to walk my wife to the tube station :-)

No need for another video, just need clarification on behaving a bit weirdly—I believe you that it's happening :).

Whoops, recorded another video before I saw your message : http://drop.pierre.io/lanyon2.mov - on page load, the content appears in the sidebar area initially, then moves to the centre of the screen.

Ah, well at least it's not the sidebar. I know what's up with that.

I fixed the transitions up and I think you won't see that problem any more. The all transition that caused that last bug was applied to everything—now it's only on the sidebar. It's difficult to know whether this fully resolves it though—I haven't seen any of those behaviors on my end :.

Bingo, works perfectly now - thanks!
