I cannot reproduce this. Are you using the most recent polymode?

I have just tried your example and it works fine. First time you call M-n e you will be asked for the exporter. There is only one option now, pandoc. Then you are asked for the weaver. Choose knitr, or knitr-ESS. Then choose the exporterd format (html 5, or whatever).

If it doesn't work, please M-x toggle-debug-on-error and post the backtrace. Also please start the emacs from scratch before trying this. Do you have pandoc installed?

Hello,

I've got the same error. The error appears when the chosen weaver is knitr-ESS. However, with knitr as weaver, it works fine.

I am running Xubuntu 14.04, emacs 24 and polymode from the MELPA repositories. pandoc is also installed.

@Vitoshka, same error.

I enabled toggle-debug-on-error and it did not provide any more information. I'm currently using win7, emacs-24.3.1 (vgoulet's set), pandoc-1.12.4.2, ess-13.09-2, today's github version of polymode, with knitR-ESS weaver on a simple Rmd file. Emacs was started from scratch, and I even tried --debug-init as well with no more info.

My error:

Wrong number of arguments: (lambda (proc name) (let ((wfile (pm--ESS-callback proc name))) (pm--display-file wfile) wfile)), 1

sad to say... +1 .. also afflicted

  • emacs-24.3.1 - linux centos
  • pandoc-1.12.4.2,
  • ess-13.09-1
  • polymode 20140614.... installed from package archives
  • pandoc-mode 20140928.

And, same as @migromero, "The error appears when the chosen weaver is knitr-ESS. However, with knitr as weaver, it works fine."

And, like @r2evans, stack trace is not easily produced.

The weaving/exporting got rewritten. This issue should be gone.
