This is expected behavior. By default, stop_type is set to -1. Internally, it broadcasts this number to an array of the same shape as your output. The signal generation function then writes stop types to this array and it is returned back to the user. The attribute stop_type_readable translates this array into an array of strings. But when you set stop_type to None, it will create an empty (uninitialized) integer array where each element is a random number from memory. I usually do this when I want to save memory. If you intend to use stop_type and stop_type_readable, remove the line stop_type=None.
