Handle amounts that are less than 1 correctly? about pluralize

I'm going to close this for now 😄 In general, yes, only 1 is singular. I read it as a plural except in the "half" case so I completely agree. If I were to do a new major version of this library, I'd probably refactor and make it a boolean instead of a number - in fact, happy to have a new issue for that change and I'll leave myself a note for that. The current implementation (0.5 apples) is correct for most UK & US English speakers, where anything that isn't 1 is plural.

Some official standards disagree with that (or are inconsistent in its usage themselves), but personally I've rarely seen 0.5 apple used outside the odd scientific paper.

I see your point. I’m converting 0.5 to 1/2 so I’m reading it as “half an apple” not “point five apples”. I guess it depends how you read it but I think the way you’re reading it is more correct and it’s doing it correctly. I blame the damn English language! Thanks for the response the the great library. :)
