Hi @hajsf, let's discuss the idea here. Sorry for any inconvenience in advance.
The idea is really good and this is a lot of tools is doing. However, my personal doesn't want to have it in Plotters
, because it's out of its domain. Plotters
is basically a plot rendering library. Yes there are a lot of cool features out there, but Plotters
should keep simple and functioning well.
For the feature you described I think a good approach is like this:
use plotters::prelude::*;
fn main() {
let file = "out.png";
{
let bg = BitmapBackend::new("out", (1024,768));
// Some drawing here
}
std::process::Command::new("chrome").args(.....).spawn();
}
In addition to that, I doesn't feel comfortable with the assumption that everyone has chrome installed. Plus it seems some body else would use a image viewer to open it.
And please share you idea, and maybe I was wrong. And I am very happy to talk.
Thanks,
Hao

Hi Hasan @hajsf,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I think it's out of the domain of Plotters
. So closing this issue. Feel free to reopen it if you think this is really desired for Plotters
. Any comment is welcome :)
Thanks again!
