I added this piece of code:
if (data.match(/stroke="/)) {
data = data.replace(/(stroke=")[^"]+(")/g, "$1" + fill + "$2");
}
just after:
if (data.match(/fill="/)) {
data = data.replace(/(fill=")[^none][^"]+(")/g, "$1" + fill + "$2");
}
And it's working now.
But it feels kind of repetitive. I guess there's some way to optimize it.
