I noticed though it no longer supports autoreload when running multiple workers - is that a hard limitation?

Yea, this is intentional. I think the two are different needs (reloading during development and multiple workers for production), so I've not tried to make it work.

I think print(os.getpid()) would do this, unless you are looking for something else?
