About me:

❓ What got me into programming?

At first I decided to write some scripts for work and got hooked. I liked that it is a very multifaceted field and wast applications. I liked the process of working on a project till it works well and how attention must be payed to everything - from “the big picture” down to the smallest bit of code. It requires mastery of various aspects of programming and responsibility as it can drastically affect the lives of many people for better or for worse. I like how with the right knowledge and even freely available resources it is possible to build both a something small like a utility script or something great. It just takes effort and patience.

🥧 My projects:

A Bookstore web app built using Spring Boot, Thymeleaf and Docker - A web app for adding books to a Postgres database and displaying books in a table. The backend consists of a controller, service and repository layer. The controller returns Thymeleaf html pages for the UI. Project relies on Docker for Postgres and OpenJDK images and has dockerfiles to buil app image and run as multi-container app using docker-compose.
A flight planner using Spring Boot - A flight planner API backend with functionality to add, search, delete flights. Built using Java and Spring Boot. Contains an option to store data in variables in memory and a PostgresSQL database storage option. Contains Unit and Integration tests written using Mockito.
Numbers Trivia guessing game - A simple console numbers guessing and trivia game using Numbers API calls.
