WebScarab in Maven about owasp-webscarab

Can you explain how that would be useful to you?

Since Webscarab is a standalone app rather than a library, I don't honestly
see the need for it to be published in maven.

Hi Rogan,

The nice thing about publishing it in Maven is that others can reuse and build on some of the great features and APIs in WebScarab. For instance, we have been using the proxy API of WebScarab to intercept and analyze JavaScript code in a Crawljax plugin.

But because WebScarab is not available in public Maven repositories, we need to install the jar manually.

Hi Ali,

WebScarab itself is not really intended for use in other applications.

However, you may wish to take a look at OWASP Proxy, which IS intended
for that purpose. I'd consider making that available via Maven, if
someone would point me in the direction of how exactly to do that.
