You are right, currently handlebars will escape your HTML code. As a temporary workaround you could set the engines to handlebars with the option noEscape.

If we resolve #40, do you still have the need to put custom HTML or not ?

No I won't need it :) But I can easily imagine that someone will want to put in a route description a bullet list, or a big warning sign, or an image…

Edit: Or multiple possible inputs / outputs? Allowing a markup language in the description field makes it easier to fit more cases; it's more versatile.

Notice #40 has been fixed, I have also unescaped HTML in description. I have yet to come with an idea about how to be flexible about the language in description as I don't want to impose markdown.
