I ask because we were trying to learn how to do error handling the "right" way in Hapi but weren't able to find a tutorial ... 😞

We ended up crafting our own hapi plugin to handle errors: https://github.com/dwyl/hapi-error
but still would love to know if there's an official way of handling errors in Hapi apps ...

@devinivy, yeah, the API docs for Error response and Error transformation are good (we used them when deriving our preResponse plugin) but we were searching for more of an Error Handling Guide i.e. what are the "Best Practices" in Hapi Web Apps? preferably with a "real world" example ... I guess most people are keeping their apps simple and just rendering an "error" view if HTML was requested or returning the Boom (JSON) error... not much to it, but could be clearer to beginners?
