Please check your schema. TL1 element is a Thermal Lens which already contains normal interfaces, so it's an element in air. What you want is "Thermal medium" element (it's on the same tab "Media, interfaces" in the catalog) which is only a medium and it requires explicit interfaces at both sides. Then it looks right - beam is only expanded in T plane:

BTW, you said it's a resonator; d3 is not visible in the table but the graph window shows that d3=15mm. But such schema is not stable with these parameters. How have you managed to plot that graph? :)

Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated! Yes, it is a resonator - it is possible that whatever I was doing wrong with my Brewster element has given me a stable resonator with the d3=15mm. I have now fixed it thanks to your advice.
