This is because of things like https://support-dev.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404772028055-Message-Content-Privileged-Intent-FAQ . You need to tell in the developers portal that the bot will require these intents.

It is under Privileged Gateway Intents in the bot. Basically you need to enable all three current intents.

But strange that Matterbridge works fine with less permissions.

I guess this is normal because of the additional features discord side. But it would be probably good to mention in the readme that all three are required for the bridge to work.
