Ah, so, what you're looking for there is what's called "Registration" (matching the two cameras together). The kinect doesn't do this on its own, you actually have to do the math for that yourself. Due to manufacturing processes, this can change per camera. If you check the mailing lists, there's a few different programs that will do calibration for you, and also a few generalized algorithms that will give you an "almost" good enough solution if you don't need it spot on.
