PeerLibrary uses for PDF Preview:
We just run pdf.js (from Mozilla) on the server side and render the PDF. It is
packaged as a Meteor package here: https://github.com/peerlibrary/meteor-pdf.js

The package we've been using is deprecated mor infos.
As we created now a file-uplad-project that summarizes related issues (File upload) this Issue can be closed.
The whole upload-functionality is temporary removed with commit f3ed2e9 from issue #547
from openki.
