I'm more inclined to continuous release cycles. Keep master stable, build features in forks and deploy as soon as the build passes. If the feature isn't ready (or it breaks the test suite) we can just now submit a PR for that feature.

The API is scoped to /api/ right now and we could create an /api/2/ scope later just as easily if we needed to. You can take a look at api/crops.json on production right now if you're curious.

Oh wait, I didn't deploy that change yet- will deploy the API tonight after work.

Oh sweet, I had implemented some basic API-ey stuff in the standard controllers, but I had no real idea how to do it properly in RoR, so I found some how-to, was disappointed, but used it to async load things with Ajax.
