The OpenAir Collective's Projects
A platform to support the evolution of distributed DIY carbon removal technology though monthly competition and collaboration.
The Carbon Dioxide Removal Leadership Act (CDRLA) is a legislative proposal for New York State that leverages the power of public procurement to activate high-impact carbon removal projects. The CDRLA will enable the state to reach our 2050 net-zero emissions targets, and elevate New York as a global leader in the emerging CDR and “carbontech” sectors, yielding both climate security and significant economic, ecosystem, and community benefits.

Good documentation practice for OpenAir open hardware projects.
Epiphyte is a miniature, stand-alone, open source direct air capture machine that removes CO2 from the air, designed by OpenAir volunteers.
This project is a small scale, open hardware sorbent tester for moisture swing DACC (Direct Air Carbon Capture) sorbents.
This is our first open hardware DACC machine
Modular direct air carbon capture (DACC) developed and open sourced by the engineering team at Octavia Carbon in Nairobi, Kenya.
