It looks like the ExampleToken contract is not importing the Metadata views contracts correctly because they probably aren't deployed to the emulator by default. You'll need to deploy those first and then import them from the ExampleToken contract before deploying. Does that make sense?

@joshuahannan it does make sense, however, i'd like to know how do i define the order of contracts to deploy in flow.json?

It looks like it should deploy them in the correct order based on dependencies regardless of what order you have them in.

Have you tried flow project deploy?
