I'm unable to comment on the naming behavior as that is a server-side subject. Speaking from a functional standpoint, the 'approot' special folder is meant to provide a consistent location unique to the app and it sounds like it is working as intended in that regard. If this is causing any specific problems for your application, please let me know and I will be happy to relay your feedback to the service devs.

Thanks for getting back to me. I agree with your assessment that this is a server side issue so wanted to see if you are able to put me in touch and send this to the team responsible?

The expected behaviour as per REST API documentation is that the first access request to the app folder will automatically create this folder using the app's name if it doesn't exist yet.

In our case, we always see the folder being created in this first access however the name used is some kind of combination of client_id@random?_uuid (see screenshot below).

I followed up on this with the service team and they were unable to repro the issue. Would you happen to have a disposable clientId/user you could provide privately that reproduces the issue?
