Huh, I was able to reproduce this issue. It's not a crash, it's just a rendering issue. If you open another add-in and close it, the pinned add-in will render fine. Certainly, this is not a great workaround for anyone who has only one add-in installed. It appears that a better workaround is to switch to another non-draft folder and then switch back - that also makes the add-in render fine.
