@Gourdboy The ability to use the arrow keys while the prompt is open has never been supported, regardless of the language input. We likely don't have bandwidth to add support for it (although we're open to reviewing a PR if you or someone else is interested).
ux.prompt is very basic - I'd suggest using something like inquirer if you need more fully-featured prompts in your CLI.
