@OiNutter At the very least perhaps you could change the readme to not recommend homebrew as an installation method?
from nodenv.
Good call, had forgotten it was even in there to be honest, perils of basically ripping stuff from rbenv and repurposing it to work with node. Have replaced that with a Coming Soon message for now.

Any update on this?

@ianks Unfortunately not, I've been busy moving in with my partner and dealing with all the fun and games that come with that so not really had a lot of time to get stuck into this. I think the main thing that needed testing was how my version handle precompiled binaries so if anyone who's got a bit more time, and probably better bash skills than me wants to check that out they'd be doing me a huge favour and could probably speed this along.

Here's a PR to at least clarify this in the README: #11
from nodenv.
@OiNutter I've created a homebrew-nodenv tap for your version of nodenv and your node-build and nodenv-vars plugins.
To install, just
brew tap jawshooah/nodenv && brew install jawshooah/nodenv/nodenv
The plugins have no official releases yet, so to install node-build
, for example, you would have to
brew install --HEAD node-build
Up to you whether you'd like to mention this in the README.

+1 to @jawshooah's tap
from nodenv.
Closing this as we have @jawshooah's tap which was added to the readme in #12.
More discussion on getting into homebrew main as the primary nodenv
formula can carry on at Homebrew/legacy-homebrew#32193
